Things You'll Need
White vinegar
Water
Nylon scrubbing pad
Burnt food residue is a common issue when cooking meals, as food often gets left behind for too long and ends up sticking to the bottom of the pot or pan. To clean the burnt residue off the pans properly, use something that contains no chemicals or flammable ingredients because it will help keep the pans safe for use in the future. Use a basic household ingredient that you probably already have on hand in the home.
Step 1
Fill the pan with white vinegar, submerging all of the stains. Let the vinegar sit in the pan for two hours.

Rinse the pan with hot water.
Step 4
Pour an equal mixture of water and white vinegar into the pan and place on the stove or in the oven. Let the liquid boil in the pan for about 10 minutes.
Step 5
Remove the pan from heat, allow it to cool slightly and scrub it again with the nylon scrubbing pad. Rinse the pan and repeat as needed until you remove all burnt residue.
